SUSTENANCE
[Priscilla Lopez]

i stand gazing at the ocean tides,
watching and waiting,
watching and waiting,
my breath is caught as i immerse myself into Her beauty,
watching and waiting,
watching and waiting,
Her chaos is riveting and i remain in awe,
watching and waiting,
watching and waiting,
my heart begins to ache trying to find solace in Her fleeting tide,
watching and waiting,
watching and waiting,
i go cold as She flees from this abyss hidden inside,
watching and waiting,
watching and waiting,
i take one last breath as i sink within,
no longer watching,
no longer waiting.

Her goal is to become an editor-in-chief at a major publishing company or, if so boldly, her own publishing company. She’s a freelance editor and content writer for Red Line Edits. In her free time, she always has a book handy, a TV-show to binge watch, or paddle boarding at some of the best beaches San Diego, CA has to offer.
